Urban Workshop in Watercolor

“Claim Your Creative Seat” and open your inner artist with this Urban Workshop in Watercolor. Have you ever wanted to capture the energy of a city street or a charming café scene in your sketchbook or simply learn perspective on a scene?  This workshop is designed for aspiring artists with little to no watercolor experience.

Join instructor Darcy Brambrink for a supportive and fun-filled session where you will learn to simplify complex cityscapes into beautiful, expressive watercolor paintings. We will cover the essential techniques needed to get started, from basic washes and color mixing to creating light and shadow. By the end of the day, you’ll walk away with a finished piece and the confidence to sketch or paint your own urban adventures.

Participants will receive all artist quality supplies to complete a 9 x 12 painting.

Ms. Brambrink is a member of the Minnesota Watercolor Society; the American Watercolors Society and her works are featured in several Central Minnesota galleries.

Additional Info to Participants:

Participants are encouraged to bring along a hair dryer to speed up drying process.  Photos of session are acceptable and encouraged.

In this beginner-friendly watercolor class, you'll learn to paint a peaceful scene featuring a lone tree and a shimmering icy river. With just four basic colors, we’ll explore the magic of shapes and reflections—proving that simplicity can be stunning.

All art supplies are provided to help you complete your own 9" x 12" masterpiece. Just bring a hair dryer to help speed up the drying process, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Your guide on this artistic journey is Darcy Brambrink, a talented member of both the Minnesota Watercolor Society and the American Watercolor Society. Her warm teaching style and expert tips will make this a relaxing and rewarding experience for all skill levels.
